Senior League: Practices will begin the week of December 2nd, and games will begin on Saturday, December 7.

Boys and Girls
Grades 1-2
This league to open to boys and girls who live or attend school in Andover and are just starting out in basketball. Parent volunteer and Rec Staff will lead a 30 minute instructional practice followed by a 30 minute instructional game.

September 3-October 18 $125
October 19 and after $150
Fee includes jersey, officials, and gym usage for the season.

Andover Rec Senior League
Boys and Girls
Grades 3-8
This town-wide basketball league is open to children who live in or attend school in Andover. Each team will have one practice and one game per week.
Season
Practices: December 2-February 7
Practices are held Monday-Friday between 4:00-8:00 pm at school gyms in town.
Games: December 7- February 8
Games are held on Saturdays at the Andover High School Field House between 12:00-6:00 pm.

October 19 and after $175
Fee includes jersey, officials, and gym usage for practices and games.

Registration Questions
At the time of registration a series of required questions will be asked. Please fill out each answer to the best of your ability. You will need to know the child's height and basketball ability level at the time of registration.
Late Registration
Registrations received after October 18 will include a $25 late fee. Late registrations will be accepted until November 22nd or until all spots have been filled in that division.
Refunds
Prior to October 17, we will be able to refund your payment minus a 10% administrative fee rounded up to the nearest dollar. After October 19, refunds and credits will NOT be given.
Team Selection
To achieve balanced teams, please answer the registration questions honestly to ensure all teams have a balance of players of all abilities. Rec does not honor any request for this program. Players will be notified by email in mid-November to let them know what teams they are on and the time and location of their weekly practice.
Travel Team
Rec does not run the Andover Boys or Girls Travel Teams.
If you plan on trying out for travel team but want to hold a spot in the Andover Rec Basketball League, do not register or submit payment online for the Andover Rec Basketball League. Athletes on travel teams are ineligible to participate in the Andover Rec Basketball League, and you will be charged the cancelation fee to withdraw if your child makes the travel team prior to October 19. Withdrawals after October 19 will not be issued a refund or credit even if the child makes travel team.
Instead, call Rec before October 19 to let us know that you would like us to save a spot in case your child does NOT make travel. This is the ONLY way you can hold a spot in the Andover Rec Basketball League without being charged a fee. Boys Travel Team questions should be directed to Joe Iarrobino at 978-846-0544. Coaches Needed
Please call if you are interested in being a head or assistant coach. We depend on volunteer coaches to make this a successful league. No coaching or basketball experience is required. There will be a coaches meeting before the season. HEAD COACHES WILL RECEIVE A CREDIT FOR VOLUNTEERING THEIR TIME. For each volunteer HEAD coach, the regular season fee will be credited back to their account for ONE child following the completion of the season. Late fee will still apply.
Staff
Interested in making some extra money? Rec is looking for students 16 and older who would like to referee Saturdays at Bancroft for the Junior League and run score boards for the Senior League at AHS. If you are interested, contact Chris Dempsey at

Communication for this program is sent out via email. Please make sure the email on file with Rec is current. It is the participant’s responsibility to update their email.
Emergency Sheets are required for ALL individuals (adults & youth) participating in any Andover Recreation programs, events, and trips. They must be filled out for each individual annually. Some programs will require additional paperwork or a new Emergency Sheet to be filled out.
