Speed is king! No matter what sport you play, getting faster is most likely a prerequisite for improvement. This program will not only set the building blocks for proper running mechanics, but it will also increase speed and decrease injury risk as a result. Athletes will be tested regularly so results may be tracked with the program focusing on improving mechanics, strength, and power as they relate to linear speed development.

Make Your Own Games & Animations - Vacation Programs
Dive into the world of code by coding your own space shooter games, trivia games, music bands, beautiful computer-generated art and math simulations or tell a story! Coding can be for kids of all ages! Even beginners who have no prior coding experience before are able to jump in and learn too! Kids learn to code using visual code blocks that represent real programming concepts that scale from easy to advanced. They learn about sequencing, loops, infinite loops, conditionals, events and more. With the Drag and Drop Platform, kids learn to code by creating their own games! Kids will get to see all these skills in action when they learn to program.
Outer Space and Physics Fun
Come join an exciting world of space exploration as you build and take home your very own Solar System Kit! You will assemble your own model, learn all about our planetary neighborhood, and watch the planets move around the sun powered by battery or solar power. Check out our real meteorite fragment samples! Take part in other exciting activities involving physics, air pressure, and density. Take home your own cosmic rocket and watch it shoot up fifty feet into the air! Be mesmerized as you assemble and take home your own stunt plane and learn about the four major forces of flight. You will also witness some neat demonstrations from your instructor. Watch as an egg is magically sucked into a bottle, behold a tornado being created, and much much more in this fun and exciting program!
Paint, Pottery & More! - Feb Vacation
Have your kids paint with us. All projects (7 total) will be planned by Magic Brush Pottery and they will teach them designs with a step by step class; the kids will pick their own colors. Pottery will be food safe. Pottery paint is non-toxic and washable. Pottery and the glass piece will need to be fired and will be delivered to the Recreation Department within 2 weeks from the end of the session.
