Description

Andover Recreation will organize an inclusive pickleball tournament to bring pickleball enthusiasts and the greater Andover community together in support of Special Olympics Massachusetts. The tournament will offer participants, spectators, sponsors, and community members an opportunity to experience inclusion with Special Olympics athletes while competing in a fun, recreational sport. The tournament will be a community fundraiser for Special Olympics Massachusetts, raising funds through registration fees, corporate and community sponsorship, and general donations.

Additional Information

Tournament capacity is 80 players (40 teams) with one Special Olympics athlete and one non-Special Olympics athlete per team. You will be paired up with a Special Olympics athlete prior to the tournament. We anticipate an additional 250 spectators to the tournament and other event aspects such as food trucks, breweries, local vendors, cornhole and bocce.

Event fundraising goal is $15,000. Tournament fee is $60 to enter with an additional $15 for each event you'd like to participate in. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics Massachusetts. All players must be at least 16 years or older to enter. 

 

Tournament Types: 

  • Unified Tournament: Special Olympics Massachusetts athlete paired with Pickleball Player.
  • Traditional Tournament: Pickleball player paired with Pickleball player. 

Tournament Events: 

  • 9:00AM - 11:00AM Unified 1 Event (Maximum of 20 participant registrations
  • 11:30AM - 1:30PM Unified 2 Event (Maximum of 20 participant registrations
  • 2:00PM - 4:00PM Traditional Event (Unlimited participant registrations
