Roblox Coding
In this course, students will design and code their own beautiful-looking Roblox games through the Roblox Studio platform. Students will learn fundamental computer science concepts required to create their own Roblox games such as events, methods, variables, arrays, functions, and much more! By using Lua scripting, they'll be creating extensions to the Roblox game while fostering creativity and learning real-world computer coding.
Minecraft World Builder
In this Minecraft World Builder camp, kids will learn how to run a city, manage money, protect the environment, all within the 3D world of Minecraft!
Minecraft World Builder kids start with a plot of land and they build their own house and an entire town. They basically learn basic things about the economy by choosing a job, trading with others in the World, dealing with money, all while still building and exploring in Minecraft!
ALL participants (youth & adults) must have a completed & signed Emergency Information Sheet on file in order to participate in REC programs. Registration over the phone will not be permitted without an emergency sheet on file for the registrant. Online registration requires a Waiver Form be electronically signed, however an Emergency Sheet is still required for all participants regardless of how registration occurs. Emergency Sheets are available online at the REC website under “FORMS” or in the REC office and can be mailed, dropped off, emailed or faxed to REC.
