  • Andover Unified Pickleball Classic
    An opportunity for all to experience inclusion with Special Olympics athletes while competing in a fun recreational sport! All funds raised benefit Special Olympics Massachusetts!
  • Beach Buddies
    Looking for a fun-filled morning or full day at the beach? Does your child enjoy small group activities? If so, Beach Buddies, held at Pomps Pond, is the perfect place to be this summer. Children will enjoy swimming lessons, along with boating, beach activities, arts and crafts & nature walks. Please bring a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, water bottle, and snack each day. Full day, please also bring a lunch. Please label all belongings. Participants must be toilet-trained, *3 year olds can only register for half day*
  • Beginner and Intermediate Volleyball
    Beginner and intermediate volleyball players will get focused skill instruction in the fundamentals of volleyball including serving, passing, setting, and hitting. All skills will be taught through fun drills and competitive play. With two state-of-the-art volleyball courts and a large coaching staff, players will get lots of touches to become better volleyball players and even better teammates. Players will be grouped by age and ability level. Clinics will be led by Coach Nicole Wright (former club/high school coach and Division 1 Volleyball player) and her staff of Andover High School Volleyball Players from both the men's and women’s teams. 7 classes, $80, limit 20 Instructor: Coach Nicole
  • Boys Basketball with Lance Dottin and Carl McFadden
    Camp Directors will be Lance Dottin and Carl McFadden. Lance is a Massachusetts Hall of Fame coach at Cambridge Rindge and Latin, 5 X Coach of the Year, 3 State Titles and 473 wins. Carl is the owner of SNL Sports Academy as well as Asst Coach at Reading for the past 20 years. During his time at Reading, he earned a D2 North State Title and 250+ wins. The camp will focus on skill development and team contests and games. General limit 120
  • Brazilian United Soccer Camp
    The Brazilian Soccer summer camp is about learning, having fun, and being awesome together, along with creating a safe and enjoyable experience. Participants gain fun and memorable soccer experiences, enjoying freestyle sessions and cultural exposure in a meticulously organized camp rooted in Beyond Soccer philosophy and Brazilian flair. Our main goal is to foster growth, prioritize individual attention, and provide dedicated care for your child’s development both on and off the field.
  • C.I.T Program (2024)
    Andover Recreation will be offering a Counselor-In-Training (C.I.T) program for Andover residents entering grades 8, 9, or 10. This program is designed to give those selected the opportunity to learn and develop leadership and teamwork skills at one of our popular summer day programs. The C.I.T program is the perfect fit for those students who want to not only improve on leadership and responsibility, but also want to experience aspects ofbeing a true program counselor. The program will provide students with training and hands-on experience with day to day activities, under the supervision of program Directors and Recreation Staff.
  • Co-Ed Basketball Clinic
    Come join Coach Carl McFadden and the SNL Team on the hardwood for some basketball fun! Players will be taught the proper fundamentals of dribbling, passing, and shooting, as well as a variety of other basketball skills. 5 classes, $70, limit 20 Instructor: SNL Sports Academy

  • Co-Ed Lacrosse Camp
    Coached by Kevin Tobin (UMass) and former Division 1 UMass player. The focus of the camp is on skill development. We will consistently work on footwork, ground balls, passing, catching and shooting. We will also do mini-games and competitions throughout the sessions. Younger groups will work on basic skill development such as rules to play by, passing, catching, scooping and shooting properly. Older groups will work on skill development in all categories of the games as well as some competitive small field competitions.
  • Co-Ed Soccer with Christian Huizenga
    Camp Director will be Christian Huizenga. Christian is a current sub varsity soccer and basketball coach at Reading Memorial High School as well as the middle school wellness educator. He is a former varsity high school soccer coach and former head coach at Eastern Nazarene College. Christian was a 3 year collegiate soccer player and an all North New Jersey soccer player in high school. Participants will work on dribbling, passing, receiving and shooting. Stations will encourage learning, fun and creativity and will also include competitions against staff members. Small sided and full sided games will be played as well.
  • Developmental Golf
    Grades K-5 Players will be taught the proper fundamentals of golf including: grip, swing and putting. Players will hit from protective mats using wiffle golf balls. Players only need one club (iron) and a putter. Program includes fun competitions like closest to the cup and putting contests!
  • Developmental Tennis
    Ages 7-14 Classes are divided by ability, and instructors teach basic stroke patterns and strategies of play. Scoring, proper court positioning, and etiquette are also covered. Bring a racquet.
  • Family Goat Yoga
    Join us for an outdoor evening yoga class featuring friendly baby goats from Chipin Farm! Goat kids are naturally curious and playful, and these little goats love to bounce and cuddle. While this may not be the most meditative and relaxing yoga class you’ve ever been to, it will surely be the most memorable - perfect for melting that stress away! The class is suitable for all levels of yoga experience and will be led by a certified yoga instructor. Please bring a yoga mat, blanket or towel. Be prepared for the goats to potentially taste test everything! The yoga class will take place outside in the evening so bring layers in case of colder weather. Class fee includes 50 minutes of yoga instruction with 10 minutes of goat cuddle and photos. There will be plenty of time to pet, hold, and take pictures with the goats throughout and after class. Seek physician’s approval if you have had previous surgeries on your back.
  • Fishing Workshop
    Fishing Workshop We will provide a fishing rod (if you don’t have one), bait, and some learn to fish instructions followed by casting practice and a healthy dose of fishing. Novice anglers are welcome. Parents are encouraged to help bait the line! Rods & reels available if needed. Parents are encouraged to stay and fish with their children.   • Futsal
    Futsal is a fast-paced sport with roots in South America. If you’re looking for a way to practice your speed, decision-making, and footwork skills beyond soccer season, give this unique sport a try! You’ll get individualized instruction in small-group scrimmages from our popular sports instructor, Fabio Lima, who has coached professional teams in both Brazil and the U.S. Wear athletic clothing, futsal shoes or sneakers, and shin guards
  • Goats and Giggles
    Goats & Giggles is your chance for a hands-on playtime with the goats with plenty of time for goat cuddles and photo ops. We will set up a large pen for you and your guests to mix and mingle with our friendly goat kids. Great for all ages! Participants will not all be in the pen at once. We will split participants into groups to enter the pen with baby goats.
  • Group Swim Lessons
    Ages 3+ (Ages 3&4 require parent) Swim classes, beginner through advanced, are offered. Children will be tested the first day of class and placed in groups of 5 according to age and ability. All swimmers must complete all of the Red Cross requirements before they may advance to the next level. Call the Pond at 978-749-9423 for cancellations if weather is questionable. Registrations for lessons are NOT accepted at the Pond. Weather cancellations will be made up on Fridays.
  • Indoor Football Skills and Drills
    Come join Coach Carl McFadden and the SNL Team on the hardwood for some indoor football fun! Players will be taught the proper fundamentals of catching and throwing a football, as well as a variety of other football skills.   • Junior Golf Confidence Programs (Summer)
    The most developmental junior golf programs in the Greater Boston area combine learning, safety, and fun. Ryan “Elvis” Taraskiewicz has taught over 1,000 junior golfers and brings this experience to Andover, MA. Featuring an all grass driving range, real balls/real clubs, time on the golf course, handouts, and unforgettable memories, the program will focus on 4 key areas of learning: A Plus Concept, Rules/Etiquette, Technique and Fun/Games.

    Ages 7-14 The most developmental junior golf programs in the Greater Boston area combining learning, safety, and fun.   • Karate
    Ages 8-17 Karate Learn practical self-defense and developmental awareness and self-confidence. Increase your coordination and flexibility through physical conditioning while having fun. This traditional Okinawan karate program is nationally affiliated through SKKAA. Wear comfortable clothes or sweatpants. Instructor: Mark Hertel, Black Belt, Northeast Shorin-Ryu Karate School
  • Kickin' Kids Soccer League
    Ages 3-7 This league is great for boys and girls looking to learn basic soccer fundamentals. Players will learn how to pass, shoot, dribble, and play together as a team. Parent volunteers and Rec staff will lead a 30 minute practice followed by 30 minutes of instructional game play (week one will be a full 60 minute practice). Each participant will receive a t-shirt uniform at the first session and rosters and schedules will be emailed out the week of September 6th. All games will be played 6 vs. 6, allowing plenty of participation during actual game play. Shin pads and cleats are not required for this program, but are recommended.
  • Lifeguard Training
    Ages 15 & Up This course is designed to prepare lifeguard candidates to prevent, recognize, respond, and manage aquatic emergencies, breathing and cardiac emergencies, and standard first aid injury and illness emergencies. Course includes: Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and Standard First Aid. Lifeguard candidates must be 15 years of age and have the ability to demonstrate the following: swim 300-yards continuously, use the front crawl and breaststroke, tread water for 2-minutes without using arms, and able to retrieve a 10-lb weight from 7-feet of water, then swim 20-yards, with legs only. Upon successful completion of the lifeguard course, candidates will receive an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification, a Standard First Aid certification and a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescue certification valid for 2 years. Blended learning online work must be completed before the start of class.

  • Olé Brazil Soccer Clinic
    Get ready for an action-packed week of soccer! Our soccer programs are designed to give each player individualized instruction while providing overall skill enhancement, soccer training and fun. Players will learn the basics of soccer through a series of fun games in a non-competitive setting and high-energy scrimmages. We’ll work on shooting, passing, dribbling and trapping. Players will be grouped by age and ability. Our internationally recognized coaches use Brazilian training techniques to teach a unique approach to the game.
  • Pee Wee Tennis
    Ages 4-6 An age-appropriate tennis program that introduces your child to the sport by using fun games and contests. Basic fundamentals will be explored with a child to staff ratio of 5:1. Racquets are available, however participants are encouraged to bring their own, along with a water bottle.

    Grades K-5 This program includes instruction on pitching, catching, fielding, and throwing. This is an excellent program for the beginner as well as the advanced player to prepare for the upcoming season. Children will be grouped according to age. Bring a glove labeled with the child’s full name.
