  • Advanced - Beginner - Intermediate Level Chess
Entering Grades 3-6 This class is geared towards students who already know chess rules/basics. It is preferable to have students who know all of the rules of chess before signing up for this chess session. This class will concentrate on the specific offensive and defensive strategies with a review of fundamental opening, middlegame, and endgame strategies. Each week the students will be introduced to a new tactic and/or strategy such as pins, forks, discovered attacks, and skewers. Students will also learn basic checkmating patterns such as how to checkmate with a king and queen vs. king. We'll learn about notations for reading (and writing) games. We'll do lots of problem-solving work, so be prepared to exercise your brain. Students will be able to play with each other as well as their instructor to practice their skills and learn.
  • Dino vs Robots
Join us for this dinos and robots only battle to see which one wins out! Start with robots to communicate in code, learn about circuits and electricity then design your own ultimate working robot to take home. Next, we’ll look at the mighty Mesozoic era and the dinosaurs who ruled the earth. Go back in time to inspect real fossils and find out how dinos got their names.
  • Game Design (Drag N Drop/Visual Coding)
Ages 7-12 Coding can be for kids of all ages! Even beginners who have no prior coding experience before are able to jump in and learn too! Kids learn to code using visual code blocks that represent real programming concepts that scale from easy to advanced. They learn about sequencing, loops, infinite loops, conditionals, events and more. With our Drag and Drop Platform, kids learn to code by creating their own games!
  • Slime Week
Entering Grades 1-6 It’s slime time as we spend a week with students to create new slime recipes that are only limited to your imagination! Our popular Slime Week teaches students the basics of how to make their own slime, and then shows students some of the most popular and trending slime recipes. Some of the slime is even edible! Our coordinators show students the latest slime tips and tricks and encourage creative thinking and working with friends. Students can customize their own slime by adding colors, scents, and textures. Once the slime is made, students can mold and play with their new creations. Slime Week lets kids get their hands dirty and have fun, but leaves the mess in the classroom and out of the car and home!
